First Impressions

Lux Coffee Company in New Richmond, WI is one of my favorite coffee shops by aesthetics and ambiance alone. Lux has a very similar vibe to Vendetta (one of my favorite coffee shops of all time). 

I had the pleasure of speaking with Noah during my visit. He was very nice to talk to, and extremely helpful moving furniture around so I could get the most accurate character of the business captured on camera!

Atmosphere & Experience

From the outside, the business has the look of an average shopping mall. It’s one of those hidden-in-plain-sight establishments. But once you open the door and step inside, all of Lux’s character is shown. 

For what is generally a small space, there is SO many options for comfortable seating. Couches, fancy leather chairs, and some various coffee tables between them. There is a chandelier hanging from the ceiling, and large ornamental rugs on the floors. Even the way Noah presents the business on social media is beautiful. I’m excited to see where this goes!

The bean roasts offered here are from a family-owned small-batch source (with a focus on single-origin beans). Overall, Lux is a solid local gem that brings big city vibes to a small Midwestern town. 

I also really appreciate that Lux Coffee Co. is a Christian business! I’m always happy to see and support people like Noah trying to spread the gospel!

Austin’s Choice

While Lux has many of the classic (high quality) options, I wanted to try something with a little more pizzazz. Noah had me try the Maple Latte, and he even decorated it with some fancy latte art! I loved it!!
