The Pinery Coffee Co is located in Wausau, Wisconsin. Their name comes from the historical pine forests and logging heritage in the surrounding Wausau area. To facilitate a friendly and community-focused feel, they offer coffee tastings, book clubs and acoustic performance nights! They also host a group called Roots: An Entrepreneurial Community which enables local business owners and community leaders to get together and share ideas and advice! They even have an endless drip coffee subscription so you can lock in a continuous place to work without breaking the bank. This is great for remote workers!
Atmosphere & Experience
The interior features various photos and drawings of the woods. There is a scattered assortment of hanging light bulbs that gave a slightly whimsical approach to a starry night sky. I don’t know if they’d be allowed to (in the building they are currently in), but I think it would be cool to paint the ceilings a dark blue or green with some cloudy textures to further simulate this! The location is internally connected to a few other stores, built around a massive chandelier!
Austin’s Choice
Their Orange Blossom Shaken Espresso is one of my top of-all-time drinks. Made with their own homemade orange blossom syrup.
