First Impressions
Table Of Contents
Growing up, my family used to watch the old-timey TV shows a lot. Star Prairie, WI felt like it belonged on the set of The Andy Griffith show. It’s like the kind of town where everyone knows everyone else in town, your kids marry the neighborhood kids, and everyone grows up as one big happy family. If I lived another life, it would be in a town like this.
Atmosphere & Experience
Jewelltown Roastery lives in what was the town’s post office (back in 1905). Interestingly enough, the name Jewelltown references the early settlement name of Star Prairie’s founders (Trueworthy and Thomas Jewell). The Roastery decided to name their business as a tribute to the town’s history.
The shop itself has a pretty decent selection of classic and new-age options from Coffee, Tea Lattes and even Lemonade! I visited this location with two of my friends, and one of them sampled the breakfast, they were quite happy with the result.
They roast their own beans, and have plans to expand their business into one of the local libraries!

Austin’s Choice
While I was there, I ordered the Matcha Latte, which was decent. If I were coming back, I would love to try a malt. Something about the small-town vibe that makes me crave ice cream!
My friends (who were traveling with me at the time) ordered both the Tomato Pesto and the Bacon Cheddar breakfast sandwiches.
