Kavarna up in Green Bay, WI has been around a long time! Opened in 1999 (which in this modern day Western coffee shop scene is considered ancient), it was founded by Linda Bengtson Galt (now owned by Kayla Viste & Michael Hastreiter).
Over the years it has earned 11 Golden Fork awards and from personal experience, it is one of the highest quality coffee shops in Green Bay. The ambiance itself is on another level; three levels to be precise and the walls showcase a rotating collection of local art…so you can find new things to look at! I really enjoyed the ambiance! They also offer food options that lean towards vegan and vegetarian. From what I could gather, it seems they source most of their ingredients locally.
While I was there, I did notice they had a Bellwether roasting setup (starting to see these pop up more these days). Cool to see they are roasting their own beans!

I quite enjoyed their Nitro Cold Brew! It’s semi-infrequent where I run into a coffee shop that has it available, and I’m always interested!
